Oh, for crying out loud! How could Obama start an Ebola epidemic? He doesn't have it (that we know of).

He's doing nothing to prevent the infected from travelling to America.

It's called criminal negligence. When an American dies, it will be negligent homicide. He's using Americans as test subjects in a political correctness experiment.

Obama is following advice of medical experts around the world. It is the responsible thing to do. It is a manifestation of the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, if you will.

When it comes to your town and disrupts whatever gravy train you're on, get back to me.

One, Craig Spencer, MD, came down with Ebola after traveling around NYC, including going bowling, for a couple of days while feeling "under the weather" before his temperature spiked and he was officially diagnosed with Ebola. No one at the CDC, let alone the head honcho Dr. Frieden, made any statements about any breaches in protocol Dr. Spencer must have committed, and/or his travels in public, including on public transportation prior to his diagnosis.

Two, on Friday evening NPR did a story about the CDC's blaming the nurses.
Was CDC Too Quick To Blame Dallas Nurses In Care Of Ebola Patient? : NPR

Amber Vinson is apparently highly p*ssed off at the CDC and is planning to hire an attorney. Here is a snippet: "The next day, Frieden said he'd gotten an "earful" from nurses around the country about his comments."

Ya think?

News agencies from the far right wing World News Daily: CDC still blaming Dallas nurse for Ebola infection
to the merely right wing Fox: Dr. Manny to CDC: Don
to the more neutral Reuters: U.S. CDC head criticized for blaming 'protocol breach' as nurse gets Ebola | Reuters
to the "liberal NPR" (above)
all the way to the far-left Daily Kos: Blame the nurse for contracting Ebola? hah!

seem to think Frieden was blaming nurses. So do many nurses.

Now for some humor about this, see this link:
Who To Blame When You Get Ebola: A CDC Guide For Healthcare Workers
Please note, it is satire.
Do you think that neither the two nurses nor Dr. Spencer was infected due to a breach in the protocol for use of PPE? If you do not believe any of the three experienced a breach in protocol, what mechanism do you propose for their catching the virus?

Even I must admit that there seems to be blame cast upon these two nurses for catching Ebola as if they had no one but themselves to blame but that same tone is not attached to Dr. Spencer. I do not think it was purposely done, however. Rather an unfortunate wording issue.

I'll take that, Kat.

The protocols were WRONG!

The blame is clearly on their employer who failed in just about every area one can fail from recognition of the disease, proper isolation of the patient, to lack of training and proper equipment for those who worked on him.

I think Hyperthetic said it well. And I am not able to make any further determination of how those two got infected. The head of the CDC did not blame Dr. Spencer or Dr. Brantly before him for a breach in protocol, just the nurses! Heck, Brantly was considered a hero when he walked off the plane. Frieden's remark was a totally unnecessary slam on the nurses, probably meant (unwisely) to reassure the public that the risk is only for people who so break protocol.
