If you think I'm totally liberal and tolerant then you are sadly mistaken.

BTW Ann make conservatives look silly.

And yet, Hispanics are the demographic group in the US with the LOWEST voter participation rates.

Seems to me that ALL political parties should be "sucking up to them." They're a largely untapped "natural resource."

Ann makes Ann look silly. Most intelligent viewers realize she's nothing but an intentionally abrasive attention *****.

And those fake eyelashes...sheeze, someone needs to TELL the woman they look ridiculous!

Hispanics are also concerned about the welfare state and want an expansion of it since they are disproportionately in the poorer economic classes. Since the Republicans are opposed to any expansion of the welfare state, they are ignoring a major concern that Hispanics have. While I don't think the Republicans are under any obligation to change its position on the welfare state, they are going to have to present a viable alternative to assuage Hispanic concerns about the welfare state but so far they haven't. Hispanics also support Affirmative Action which is something that the Republicans are adamantly opposed to and the same argument I presented about the welfare state applies here as well.
In other words, Hispanics are on the wrong side of the issues both morally and legally but Republicans are supposed to overlook that and give them everything they want.

Got it!

No. Hispanics, be they citizens, legal immigrants or illegal see the glaring hypocrisy of immigration in this country. That illegal labor is more than welcome to come and build all of those "affordable" houses in Houston, clean pools in Vegas, and pick our vegetables in California, but we're going to make them fear for their families because that labor can easily be replaced with another immigrant. And "papers please" immigration laws like the one passed in Arizona and backed by Republicans have now put American citizens under suspicion of being illegal.

We will continue to have problems with illegal immigration until businesses and individuals that hire that labor are severely punished for it. And neither party is going to upset that apple cart.

Apparently so. How can someone think that way and not realize the arrogance and selfishness of that?

You people do realize that Coulter only says this sort of stuff to garner attention, don't you? Ignore it, she has no influence with anyone that has more than two brain cells to rub together.

There is no hypocricy in our immigration laws it is just that our government isn't enforcing them and the greedy employers are employing them to increase their profits. Us regular Americans are opposed to this and do not welcome illegal aliens to take American jobs, reduce our wages, steal our taxes, crowd our neighborhoods, schools and hospitals. Illegal aliens made the choice to come here with their families knowing full well they broke the law so cry me a river if they live in fear.

You're full of crap. The Arizona law did not allow for ethnic profiling. No one can be stopped and questioned unless they are suspected of breaking another law such as a traffic violation. A person's status in this country cannot be questioned unless at the time they couldn't produce a viable ID such as a DL. There are no "papers" involved. Those who are legally here would have an ID or Green Card. American citizens are not automatically under the suspicion of being here illegally. Congratulations for drinking the pro-illegal Kool-Aid and also for spreading the lies.

Americans need to demand that e-verify be mandated across the board so that the employers will be stopped from hiring them but it will take more than that. It will also take denying illegals any benefits and changing birthright citizenship for their kids. And by the way, the illegals are just as guilty as those who hire them. They know right from wrong.

But I'm going to go ahead and rest soundly tonight knowing that you'll never have any say on what happens with regards to our immigration policy. And also fortunately for America as a whole...the people in power regardless of their party affiliation aren't as cold as you...they don't see the need to tear apart thousands of families to enforce an agenda while better, more pragmatic options are available.

Have fun being bitter.
And why shouldn't we be bitter? Our immigration laws are being spat on, Americans are losing their jobs or having their wages reduced due to illegal aliens and they are depleting our tax coffers with their social needs. Not that you apparently care. There is nothing cold about wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced. We don't have to resort to mass deportations they will self deport if all the incentives to remain here are removed. Illegals knew full well what they were doing was wrong and there is no tearing apart of families. The whole family is free to go back to their homelands together.
