Someone comes to you and says, "We want you to be our candidate for this position." It can be as high as you want, but it does have to be an elected position.

Do you accept?

Me? Not a chance. I have too many skeletons in my closet, such as that incident with the freshman.

Though considering some of the choices on the Texas ballot in the past couple of years, I might fit right on in.

I suspect that a lot of the common people are not runnable due to the things of our past.

I would probably run for local or county office, or state general assembly level. I wouldn't touch federal elections with a 10 foot pole

Are you runnable, politician material?
No. I'd probably be assassinated within my first month in office.

It takes a truly diseased mind to believe that theft and aggression are morally copacetic.

Only a sociopath with delusions of grandeur could ever come to such a pass as to run for office.

Dirty politics can dirty anyone up.. Mother Theresa would be called a holy roller . It is a dirty business and the dirt is often invented .

Here in NH we actually elected a thief to Congress. The people that voted for Ginta deserve what they will get. The rest of us do not.

I don't think I would even get that far (as noted above).

Between being a belly dancer and the things I've done in acting, both before an audience and in preparing for a part, that if cast in the proper light, would be enough to turn off most voters. If not those, then mud could be slung about love affairs.

And then there were all the crazy things I did in college during my first degree. I have the defense that I am an Aggie......but do people, either in or out of Texas, accept that as an excuse?

Further, that's before we get to the official duties. On one side, we can say that what I did was in service to the country.....but on the other hand, I am a devious person who does use psychology to deceive as necessary to accomplish the job. That long story short, while I may be actually lying (because I know that the person hearing me is believing something that is not true), from a certain point of view, I am telling the truth.

Hmmmm, at least on that last one, I'm qualified to be a politician.

Maybe. Most political operatives look for good liars. I can't and won't do that. If I have their blessing and backing, being completely honest, then, maybe.
