Years ago, Jebb Bush did something really bad...I remember it was all over the papers and news....nation wide, and I think that GW Bush was in his first term, not sure, but Jebb was running and I remember being so shocked that he was elected, due to what he did, but I cannot remember what it was he did?

I remember people saying the man was really not to intelligent and got to where he was b/c of his father and brother.

Can anyone help me remember what that was about please....?

Yeah, the Democrat spin for Republican presidents is no doubt.....they're dumb or stupid...then you get the SNL doing the skits and the comedians like Stewart start doing their spin based on it....Pretty good racket.

Bush 43 was a far cry from Bush 41. When a president can't string together and utter a coherent sentence, the material is there like low hanging fruit for the picking, the comedians had no need to spin squat.

As you say George H. W. Bush was more expert on foreign policy from time in the CIA. His criticism was on domestic policy which was of greater concern to many at the time. They wanted to show he was out of touch with the common folks and did that by filming a shopping excursion. It was a cheep shot but was all many needed to turn away from him. And read my lips no new taxes was icing on the cake that no one wanted to eat.

I think it had to do with him marrying a Hispanic woman and being the governor of Texas.

I thought McCain took most of the fall for the Keating S&L fiasco.

I don't recall that at all. Perhaps you're timeline is a bit off and you're thinking of George W. and JEB's brother Neil, who was involved in the Savings and Loan scandal when his father, George H.W. Bush was Vice President. He was later involved in some controversial stock trades involving a company he was consulting for (that actually occurred in 1999) that some people suggest had the appearance that he had insider information.
