Over 214,000 doctors won't participate in the new plans under the Affordable Care Act (ACA,) analysis of a new survey by Medical Group Management Association shows. That number of 214,524, estimated by American Action Forum, is through May 2014, but appears to be growing due to plans that force doctors to take on burdensome costs. It's also about a quarter of the total number of 893,851 active professional physicians reported by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Almost 80% of survey respondents reported their practice is participating with new health insurance products sold on the ACA exchanges (ACA exchange products) and more than 90% of these practices have already seen patients with this coverage. Of practices participating with ACA exchange products, 85% are contracting with one to five products and almost 60% reported they are participating in order to remain
competitive in their local market.
I didn't buy my policy on the exchange, but I discovered that it's offered there when the office of the doctor I wanted to see told me that they don't take exchange plans, and they knew that mine is an exchange plan based on my member ID.

Ain't Obamacare awesome?
Try going in to a Dr's office and say I will pay cash and see how fast you get seen.

That's what I did prior to Obamacare. O'care completely destroyed my health care strategy. I was going to pay cash for doctors visits and routine stuff, and pick up a catastrophic-only policy for the major stuff. WAY cheaper than what I'm paying now, and I would have had exactly the coverage I wanted. Now, thanks to the idiot Democrats that "passed it so they could find out what was in it", I now have to carry pregnancy coverage (I'm a guy) and pediatric dental (no kids).
