Probably all fudged numbers and lies. I bet the majority of these jobs are nothing but crappy paying anyways. Wages aren't increasing, everything else is. Lousy paying jobs shouldn't count to make an argument for "Improved economy" garbage

The refusal of certain people to acknowledge even the most obvious forms of American economic progress is absolutely astounding. There are people who actually think the BLS is defrauding the American people with "fake numbers." Hilarious.

Are you serious? Have you seen how the wealth gap has exploded since Obama took office? Or how about how many small businesses are being crushed with new regulations and fear of what is coming next?
AS for the op, yes the unemployment rate is down, but that is not telling you much anymore. Every since the hyped unemployment rate stopped counting those who were underemployed or had given up on looking for work the number really means nothing. The U6 unemployment is the true unemployment rate, and it is still higher than it was in Sept of 2008.

Fake numbers? No they are using numbers that do not count everybody, and have been for a long time.
An increase is always better than a decrease BUT the problem is many of them are most likely low wage jobs in the service industry. There has been millions of jobs added under Obama yet more people than ever are in poverty.

Median household income declined 4.6 percent during Obama’s first five years, and nearly 5.5 million more Americans were living in poverty last year than before he took office.
It has been shown that African-Americans are doing WORSE under Obama the EXACT demographic that voted for him in droves and were looking for hope and change.
Corporate profits are up almost 200 percent but the average wage of the worker has only gone up less than a percentage point when you adjust for inflation.
The problem is structural: an economy which can no longer dominate the globe, and leaves the sweaty-and-hazardous manufacturing to low-wage competitors can still grow, but only by expanding in service sectors such as medicine, which either requires extensive study, or offers lower pay, and high-demand, stressful, and depressing work at the bottom of the heap.

Sorry for your dilemma, "Exhibit A"; You can invest some time and effort in "service sector support", or maybe go to work in a field like transport or warehousing, (respectable pay, but sometimes, long hours outside the 9-to-5 most people want), or you can flip burgers (or maybe one day, empty bedpans).
