I think even Democrats are against this. This reminds me of when Bush wanted to put peoples' social security money into the stock market.

I can't remember another instance where a president is so far out-of-touch with the American people...

He can do the DREAM thing with a much bigger population.

It is inherently temporary and will expire and have to be renewed.

No, just because the Senate passed what he wanted does not mean that the House must do so or that he gets to simply do it on his own because Congress won't go along. Our government is not supposed to function this way.

He can't supply it on his own. Never could. Can provide temporary relief to the illegals but that is it. I believe his proposal is also not all inclusive. Criminal and newly arrived will not be included.

Important to note that he said "I've waited long enough".....

It's all about Barack, all of the time. Time for this lifeless slug to go.

To the rest of us, there is no "I" in team, but lil' Barry Sotereo managed to find an "I" in "team", and just like in real life, it's buried in the 'A-hole'.

Maybe the OP could be more specific on exactly what he is threatening to do, the powers of Executive Orders are limited and every president has done the same.

As Toryturner said above, an act of CONGRESS--NOT a unilateral, ILLEGAL executive order. An EO can only be given for an action that is already legal--and granting amnesty over Congress' head is not.

That's an enormous difference. It wasn't smart for Regan and Congress to do it in 1986--and it's not a good idea now--AT ALL.

He can't and won't grant amnesty. He has no power to do that. He can provide temporary rights to be in the US and to work. He does have the right to do that.

What is it you folk are having such trouble with? He has certain powers whether you approve or not.
