where is your source for the capabilities of our students in the 1950s versus today? What test scores are you referencing? Your pictures show kids at school, no insight in their capabilities as students.
There are minorities in the pictures, even the ones before the Brown decision.

No body knows how to use a slide rule anymore either. They have calculators for that.

Yes, but when a person shows up for a job interview and their vocabulary is lacking people judge accordingly. When a person has little to no critical thinking skills it shows.

You can't, because you cannot. You can claim greater literacy, or that a greater number of children could identify India and Peru on the map compared to now, but they can never be more than claims.

You have to admit, at least back then kids had respect for their parents, and teachers. Kids were actually afraid to get into trouble. Not to say everyone acted like angels, just that they feared punishment, and genuinely wanted to please their parents. They cared. Many kids today just don't care.
