right wingers would rather teach than give.....We have given to death and all we have are more welfare recipients...
Except you don't exactly teach anyone anything. All your mantra is that people should work, but you offer no idea or help on getting people into jobs that pay a livable salary :-P.

So why are you waiting for someone else to provide a job? Go start your own business and pay yourself whatever you want.

Seems to me there should be a lifetime cap on taxes.

Once you've paid in around $5 million that ought to be considered enough for one person. You've clearly covered yourself and your family plus probably ten other people. How many people is one person supposed to carry?

The tax code favors low income and very high income earners and the very wealthy.

Those with the 400 reported highest annual AGI ( more than $100 million) paid and average of an 18% tax rate. More than half paid a rate of 10-20%. 37/400 paid less than 10%.

The working poor with children tend not to pay federal tax.

Everyone should have some skin in the game.

Yes, squeeze the poor to benefit the rich. That's a recipe for a happy, harmonious society if I've ever heard one.

I AM POOR! But I certainly hope you are not referring to me!

I'm 51yrs , no dependents, single, and work FT @ $9.50/hr. I don't receive any gov help of any kind! I'm not eligible for ANYTHING! Every February (tax time) I file a straight form, with no extra candy of any kind. No extra forms to fill out.

So guess what? I am paying my taxes. Last 2 yrs my income taxes averaged 21%.

I also pay taxes every time I go to the store... Sales Tax. I pay taxes every time I fuel up the car. Every time I pay my monthly utilities.... there are taxes included (that I pay).

I live alone. I don't have anybody to share monthly expenses. So you do the math. At $9.50/hr.... I am poor! Now just exactly *who* are all these threads and postings referring to?
The tax code tends to punish singles / couples without children , who are not homeowners. This is nothing new.

Be aware you paid a higher tax rate than most of the 400 who had a reported AGI of $ 100 million or more. 37/400 paid less than 10% in federal taxes.

Everyone should have skin in the game.

21% is impossible according to "the math" and the figures you posted.
