Yes, it is. The Soviet Union didn't invade Japan prior to Japan attacking Manchuria. The Arab nations that Israel is using that land as a buffer against did, in fact, invade Israel and invaded Israel using that very same land as a launching point for the invasion. Not once, but twice. First in 1948, and then again in 1973.

So try again. That attempt was an abject failure.

The whole attempt to blame settlement policy has already been debunked, considering the conflict had already been at play prior to the first settlements.

In addition, any discussion of current U.S policies regarding Israeli settlements, should follow suit with discussions of previous Administrations settlement policies.

I wasn't making any assertion that Israel is an aggressive state on the level of Imperial Japan. I was merely pointing out both have similar reasons for occupying a region. It isn't any different than China retaking Tibet to obtain a buffer. Conquering states to obtain buffers is a classic strategy that almost all states will utilize when threatened, which is all I am pointing out.

Lots of people avoiding the issue and talking about Muslims. Standard for the American low IQ types who have been fed a diet of Zionism.

The answer OP?

They want war. Yesterday. And they are betting on a Hillary from the left or ANY candidate from the right who will lather them with dead American soldiers for any war they want.

Dead, dumb, mostly white non-Jewish soldiers from America's heartland who are convinced they are "fighting for freedom," dying for Zionist Jews.

..America's greatest past time.

Ahhhh just what we needed another anti-Jewish poster who blames the Jews for all the problems in the world. If you take the time to read the numerous threads on CD, there are enough thread on CD to debunk your views. Since this is a Israeli-Palestinian thread, discussing Islam in it will not help your view. Palestinian Muslims are not considered real Muslims by most of the Arab Muslim community. Sure the Arab Muslim community say they support them, but that's where it ends. Financially, even by the richest Muslim is rare and is more of a token than anything else. This is proven by each and every pledge drive where they are pledged Billions yet actually less than $2 Million is support show up in a UN controlled account (The Palestinians wan't it dropped directly in their hand, but the world already knows it would end up in someones pocket).

But as to your point of Israel wanting war, keep in mind that Israel has had enough armaments of their own since the 1960's to wipe the Palestinians off the map and take a few bordering countries with them (Israel has had three wars before the US gave them a penny of financial support). yet for the most part for the last 48 years have stayed within the borders of the 1948 Mandate. Sorry to tell you that the nearest feet on the ground Americans got to Israel was in Lebanon and they were not allowed to talk to the Israeli's in any manner.

If anyone wants war, its the Palestinians. But look through history, when have the Palestinians actually fought their own war? Nearly everyone of them was an invasion by a bordering country and the Palestinians sat back and watched. The Palestinian version of war is Rocket attacks, suicide bombings, intentional murders and kidnappings. If they (Palestinians) actually want war, then go for it and stop all these propaganda videos of having an army in the 100,000s ready to fight for their cause when in reality it doesn't exist.

The Israelis are not building settlements. The are resettling on land they once owned before the 1949 Armistice. If an Arab cannot show any type of proof that they owned the land before the 1949 Armistice, then it wasn't theirs in the first place and they are simply squatters. Israel waited numerous decades for this proof and where these cities popped up, there were nearly none. Palestinians wanting to build their future country on these lands is not the same as them actually owning them.

Well what short word do you want to call Palestinians? Mandate Refusers??

Before 1967 those living in Judea and Samaria were Jordanians and those living in the Gaza Strip were Egyptians. Those living in Israel were and are Israelis.

Palestinians are part of the Arab league, but have no clout.

No it hasn't or the settlements would not be condemned by nearly every country in the UN with the sole exception of the United States.
