You are wrong. A bunch of rebels who were 52% of this small territory said 'we are now a jewish homeland' even though 48% did not want that ever. but that's not the point:



Why does any of this have to do with illegal settlements in 2015?

Why don't you look at how the arab muslims are getting along with the coptics, maronites, chaldeans, yazidis, azeris, bahai, kurds, orthodox christians, alawites or any of the other minority groups in the mideast, who amazingly, are not "building apartments."

If you had an ounce of history or facts at your disposal, you'd know the answer was "YES", as the arab muslim attacks occurred for decades BEFORE israel even existed.

You have to understand what it is that they want peace for. The Biblical boundaries of Israel are spelled out in the Bible. And that certainly includes all of Jerusalem, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

The Israelis are taking the long view towards peace. The territory they want peace for is not fully secured just yet. The settlements are part of their strategy to remedy that.

The British were formally awarded the mandate to govern the region in 1922. The non-Jewish Palestinians revolted in 1920, 1929, and 1936. The Arabs wanted to negotiate on the basis of UN resolutions 194 and 181. They wanted Israel to accept first the "right to return". Israel rejected the principle of "repatriation of the refugees and payment of due compensation for their lost or damaged property, as well as for the property of those who do not wish to return" as formulated in Resolution 194, and asked large amounts of land in exchange for return of a limited number of refugees. The Arabs wanted recognition of the areas allotted to them by the Partition Plan and immediate return of the refugees coming from the areas that were conquered by Israel.

These losers are unwilling to acquiesce to Israeli control, let alone acknowledge Israel's right to exist, is it not wise to keep them OUT?

Methinks it's not the fault of Israel to not entertain such lopsided terms nor embrace the viper that seeks to kill them all.

It doesn't help things, that Islam demands the destruction of Jews.

Ironically, many of the Kibbutz were left wing communists, which compelled the Soviet Union and its satellites to vote in favor of accepting the State of Israel.
America was compelled to support the capitalist elements, to counterbalance influence.
The Muslims were ticked off by both sides.

Besides, It's ISRAEL'S land. The Palestinians belong in Jordan.
No one not even Israel recognizes the West Bank as Israeli land.

Kind of hard to have peace when you have a bunch of super religious zealots ignoring their own government, such as many of the hasidic jews who even when they have their settlements ripped down continue to rebuild. If both sides want peace NO ONE should have that property period.
