I support her right to end her medical career over a stupid and discriminatory action. We are a free country and she's an educated adult. Let her reap the consequences of her actions.
This Dr. Roi is violting the medical code of ethics. I don't suggest she should be forced to treat homos and their families. I'm suggesting she have her license to practice medicine revoked.
Now.....Who would this serve, the baby or you? So the doctor knows if she says something she will lose her license so she simply says she is not accepting new patients at this time. Anything gained? I suppose that perhaps the hurt feelings don't happen and that's not a bad thing but they still have to find another doctor.
She could be forced to accept them but as has been noted over and over, who gains there? Not the baby. No, this shouldn't be about you. You might feel better but we didn't improve anything. At least now people know what kind of doctor we have here and can make better decisions for themselves.
I don't understand the idea that the government should punish people for being different. Even if that difference is a closed minded bigot.
So in your scenario, the doctor simply lies. Everyone loses. In mine, she exposes herself and people can make better informed decisions.
Totally. Discriminating against people based on race is immoral and evil, but discriminating against homos is a moral good. Any act aimed at shaming and demeaning a homo is a good act in that it's opposing evil. Hating and mistreating a homo is really loving him if you think about it.
This might come as a surprise to some members of the Gaystapo but many of us find the homosexual life style perverted, immoral, repugnant, disgusting, sickening and we would much rather live our lives having nothing to do with it.
It should come to no surprise to HOMOPHOBES that most of us find your views ignorant, prejudiced, bigoted, hateful, repulsive, disgusting, repugnant, stupid, nauseating and worthy of ridicule and contempt.
But I guess moronic haters amongst us like all the racist and anti-semitic fools out there.

The Medical Profession has a Code of Ethics. It says that physicians cannot use race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. as grounds for refusing a potential patient. If you consider that "judg[ing] people's thoughts," then you're wrong - the medical community, as a profession, can judge its members thoughts.
The Legal Profession has the same ethical rule. If a lawyer were ever said something like "I won't take on homosexuals as clients" the Bar Association would yank his license and he would no longer be able to practice law and represent the Legal Profession to the community.
I explained myself in the part of my previous post that you didn't address.
So its best for the doctor to just think it and offer third rate care?
