Those pesky juries. Better to follow the suggestions of race hucksters, the race baiting media and what appeared to be a racially motivated lynch mob when making a decision like this. {sarcasm}

And don't forget the "altering of the tape" to help this moving along the racist BS....

I don't know Zimmerman. Maybe he's an a-hole. Maybe he's racist. Maybe he deserves some of the ill will that's been put his way by people that know him exactly as well as I do. Maybe he doesn't. I don't know.

I don't know what's in his heart, but from day one of that incident, it appeared to me to be a clean shoot. As more information came to light, it became more clear that it was a clean shoot. By the time that the grand jury was involved, it was crystal freaking clear that it was a clean shoot.

You don't have to like the guy, and you can disagree with his actions that night, but the one thing you can't disagree with (while maintaining any semblance of intellectual honesty) is that it was a justifiable shooting. It was, and if there was ANY way that it could have been construed otherwise, we would have heard a different message from the grand jury, and the announcement yesterday would have been very different.

No; one really thought they could go against Jury on a citizen anyway. Just bidding time and avoid lynch mob mentality. This DOJ is all about politics. If this was case then OJ would be likely target.

And, nothing else really is.

We sure do not have that now.
I didn't know that there was still a legal battles being fought over this case. Why was the department of justice involved in this I thought the jury made their decision and it was over ?

There was no "battle" - the DOJ was looking into the situation (translation: trying really, really hard to find something) because they wanted to bring him up on federal charges, but there's nothing to charge him with, and they've finally given up looking.

Federal charges for federal crime vs. state charges for state crime.

Like if I kidnap someone and take them across state lines and then try to kill them.

State could charge me with attempted murder but let's say I got off on a technicality.

Then the feds could bring interstate kidnapping charges against me....just not attempted murder since that would be out of their rights plus violate double jeopardy.
