Really? Back up that claim. I hear conservatives say that all the time but no one ever offers any proof.
I know most of you will write me off, but it's pretty clear to anyone who isn't a conservitard that the animosity toward Obama stems from racism. He hasn't wrecked this country. Bush drove the country into a ditch and Obama pulled it out. If a Republican president had the sorts of job numbers and stock market numbers Obama has you numbnuts would be saying he needs a third term. I don't agree with everything Obama's done(I disagree with a lot if it, actually) but there's no denying that he righted the ship and did so in the face of historic obstruction.

Look at history and see which VP's went on to become elected President. Electing a VP to the Big Office is how Americans have rewarded good Presidents. Mostly.
And Bush 41 is a good example.
And it's kind of a short list. Adams, Jefferson Van Buren, Nixon (sort of) were the others. And then there is the list of VP's who gained first entry by attending the Boss's funeral.

People on the left were freaking out that W was going to subvert the Constitution, declare martial law, cancel elections, and stay on for a third term. The paranoia from both sides gets old.

The threat of Dubya doing it, while still silly, was much more believable since he used terrorism as a tool to instill in terror in Americans. Any time things weren't going his way politically that terror color chart would slip a little closer to red.
