Citizen United had nothing to do with getting money out of politics. It should be obvious that people like Reid weren't about to cut off the hand that is feeding them.

Corporate donors to a green energy nonprofit operated by Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s (D., Nev.) former staffers and a current campaign operative have received billions of dollars in federal loan guarantees and grant money as a result of Reid’s advocacy.

Fulcrum Bioenergy began contributing to the Clean Energy Project (CEP) in 2013. One year later, the Nevada Democrat steered tens of millions of dollars in federal grant money to the California biofuel company.

Fulcrum is one of at least nine corporate donors to the Clean Energy Project (CEP) that have secured federal financing for themselves or a client due in part to Reid’s behind-the-scenes advocacy—activity that watchdogs warn could be construed as unethical.

Harry Reid Secured Subsidies for Aides

And how exactly are regular non rich people being hurt by this? Why is it a good thing when corporations get more revenue via tax cuts but a bad thing when they get more revenue via the above? If those corporate donors have gotten those billions of dollars from union bashing and cutting the pay and benefits of working people you righties would probably think it was wonderful

Funny how things change.
Is that why the GOP only calls it class warfare when you attack the rich? Is that why they call giving the lower income a tax cut and raising taxes on the rich class warfare or income redistribution but the opposite, giving the rich a tax cut and raising taxes on the poor they call that tax reform?

Hey...let that rich guy up off the ground. You almost killed him when you tackled him.

All Crony Capitalism hurts consumers because the awards are non competitive. Without free market competition, you almost always pay more for your goods and services.

What does your post have to do with Harry Reid and his Crony Capitalism?

Really?

Who are among the top beneficiaries of lower taxes on corporations? The millions of American workers and retirees who own $24 trillion worth of equity investments, etc., in their pension/retirement accounts

Retirement Question 4 | EBRI

Higher corporate taxes means lower growth in that $24 trillion pension/retirement investment sector. That means retirees take a hit. Are you sure that's what you want? For millions of American workers and retirees to have less funding for their retirement?

Too many people have a complete lack of understanding that high and/or increasing corporate tax rates is like shooting themselves in the foot, both in regards to the cost-push inflation price increases it causes, and the reduction in retirement funding it would cause.

Is Pelosi were serious about taxes. She would propose a "wealth tax" on those with more than 10 million. Of course that would hit her directly. She would never do a thing like that. And she's a pretty liberal lawmaker.

Look at John Kerry. Liberal dude. His wife ketchup lady paid a whopping 10% in federal taxes. John Kerry was never serious about raising taxes on the rich.

John Edwards. Same stuff. Doesn't propose tax law changes on S corp. cause he shifted and diverted millions through his S corp so he wouldn't get hit with a big tax bill.

U liberals just cannot defend these democrats. They favor the rich. Cause most of them are rich themselves.
Do you mean the Democrats should propose things like this?

Dems pitch controversial plan to tax Wall Street, to pay for new middle-class credit | Fox News

Or this?

Senate Democrats Propose Wealthy Pay A 30 Percent Minimum Tax

Or this?

Obama takes aim at the wealthy with populist new tax plan | MSNBC

That is just the most recent attempts, I could try and find all the past attempts if you like.

All things they could have proposed when they had the presidency, House and Senate. Instead they gave billions (trillions) to Wall Street and extended Bush's tax cuts.

It's easy to say you are for something when you know you aren't actually going to have to vote on it.

Because it means YOU will pay less for goods and services. All corporate taxes are paid by consumers like me and you.
