I am also tired of the United States behaving like the world's police. We have the United Nations (UN) for a reason and in my honest opinion they don't do anything right and cannot get anything done. I really wish the United States could for one year give up being the worlds police and let Russia and China handle the world. There are very rich nations that have rather large militaries that need to step up the game if they don't want the United States interfering in international affairs. The United States can either be the most liked country or the most hated country and it's time we give the world a chance to see how things go without us.

This was similar to what the ancient Romans (Hadrians wall, for example) and the ancient Chinese (Great Wall of China) did.
The only enclave we need to defend is our own. Our Founders didn't want us to physically export democracy. They wanted us to simply lead by example.

Face it, the United States isn't seen as a force for good in this world anymore. For good reason of course...we aren't.

Our founders did not support democracy, per se.

"If the number of 435 representatives is too small then is 10,000 too large? The number of 10,000 representatives is actually just right. If we choose this large number of delegates for the House of Representatives, and if we arrange things so that they do not have the opportunity to exert charismatic influence on each other, and if we select them randomly from the People, and if we enable them to conduct the affairs of government without ever meeting in person, and if we give them the resources they need, and if we truly limit their powers, and if we let them use their power for a very specific and limited purpose, and if we reduce their time in office to the briefest possible, and if we protect them from undue intrusions and influence from others, and if we enable the rest of the People to easily see what is happening, and if we provide a way for the People to directly voice their concerns and ideas, and if we provide a mechanism for the People to accept or reject the decisions reached by the 10,000, then we will have a truly representative democracy. As you can see, there is nothing to it. If the Framers had access to the technologies available to us, they would have done what we are now able to do."

Federalist 10 -- A Republic or a "Pure" Democracy?
I don't believe that last sentence for a minute.

Lets see, being the world police man. Has that stopped any enemies against us. As that solved anything? Bosnia, Somila, Iraq, etc etc, the list goes on for many years on who we support later to become our enemies. Bin Laden was trained by the CIA to fight Russia in the 80's in 2001 he was out to kill us. Then he was called a freedom fighter in the 80's. In the 60's and 70's we supported saddam to balance the issue of the Shah in the IRAN who we helped put in power in IRAN in the 50's. . Supporting the Syrianan Rebels (Muslim Moderates) and now have now been giving weapons and joining ISIS. While Russia now goes into Syria to support its Ally to bring back balance to the region. OR maybe the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt and supporting the dictator there later to supporting the brotherhood and giving weapons and money. This is a foreign policy that makes no sense. If you have to borrow money from china to give it a dictator in Pakistan to later over thru an elected government in other country something is wrong. We are broke and can't afford BAD policy decisions and you can't be a policeman if your BROKE. I also see no authority in the constitution to be the police man of the world.
