They feel abandoned. Imagine that. Beau Bergdahl gets a hero's welcome in the Rose Garden and these people get the finger.

Kinda like the actions if not the words taken after the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, eh?

President Obama could shoot a foreign leader in cold blood in the Rose garden and the liberal community would blame it on the gun, remind us that impeachment would be the only avenue to persue justice and finally that if the GOP did so it would keep them from the WH for 200 years and cost us congress and you know what, they would be right.

The article doesn't say why they were there in the first place. Ironically, it is CAIR leading the initiative, certainly not a conservative favorite and implies most of the stranded are Muslim. Had it been anybody besides Obama this thread would have started with "Leave them there!"

(Nevermind, the Fox comments took care of that for me.)

Are they serious? The government only has to evacuate employees and dependents, not Yemeni "Americans" living in their country. Companies are on their own regarding their employees. Sounds like these people want a free ride out of their homeland. Let 'em hike to Saudi Arabia.

I'm sorry but why are these americans living in yemen in the first place. And if they are permanent residents why is it our responsibility to get them out. Wasn't it their choice.

Exactly what I was thinking. Is any semblance of personal responsibility just a completely antiquated notion nowadays. These are largely folks with duel-citizenship who made the decision to go live and work there. This is part of the risk you take when you go work in a region that has been anything but stable, particularly over the past few years.

Well they chose to live there, so...

Perhaps they should enlist as U.S. military and then desert if they'd like O to bring them home.

Well the guy who made it possible for obama to claim, 'bin laden is dead...' is still in a pocky stan prison.

If he is of no consequence to obama, who is?

Not the marine held in Mexico, not the wounded vets and the VA issues.

Makes Bergdahl even more stunning except we know obama did that as a way to clean out GITMO.

The only way any american hostages will get help is if their release furthers obama's political agenda.
