The military intervention in Yemen by a US-backed coalition of Arab states will undoubtedly inflame the conflict both in Yemen, and throughout the region. It is likely to be a protracted war involving many actors, each of which is interested in furthering its own political and geopolitical agenda.
Yemen, Ukraine, and the Hypocrisy of
Article dated March 30, 2015.

In February 2012 President Hadi of Yemen was elected President of the country in an election of dubious democratic legitimacy in which he was the only candidate. In January 2015 he was overthrown by a coup spearheaded by Yemen's Shia minority. In February 2015 he fled and declared his overthrow illegal. Then he fled to Saudi Arabia, which is using violent force to restore Hadi.
Government supports Saudi Arabia's actions and is providing intelligence and logistical support.

In January 2010 President Yanukovych of Ukraine was elected President of the country in a closely fought election declared democratic by the Western powers. In February 2014 he was overthrown in an unconstitutional coup spearheaded by Ukraine's western minority. In the same month he fled and declared his overthrow illegal.

Feel any difference?

Yes, Ukraine gave up 1000 nuclear weapons for guarantees about its sovereignty that was signed by both us and Russia. Russia has violated that.

Ukraine is not NEARLY as messed up or confusing.

The parliament of Ukraine removed him for not performing his duties. That was in fact constitutional

Soo...yes. they're really nothing alike despite your attempt to conflate them.

At a guess you are another hired poster.

There was no unconstitutional coup, and the Western Ukrainians are not a minority by any means.

Worse, we may well lose American lives and are sure as hell wasting the dollars of the American taxpayer there. There is nothing and no one there worth it. Let the Middle East take care of their own problems.

If you are unfamiliar with Yemen, I would urge you to watch this excellent docu on this country, released last week on Frontline.

It shows a power struggle between two groups who both hate the U.S. and incorporate "Death to America" as a guiding principle of their existence, the Houthi's and Al Qaeda in Yemen.

Vladimir Putin uses an invisible army of social media propagandists, in addition to conventional media, to support his narrative of an out-of-control Ukraine, to spread fabrications of atrocities by Ukrainian extremists, and to unleash destabilizing rumors on east Ukraine. If Ukraine unmasks the myths of Russia’s disinformation war, Putin’s target audiences, at home and abroad, must eventually reject his whole narrative.

Quite a bit actually, so much so that I find that the Ukraine and Yemen bear absolutely no resemblance to each other.

Hired poster? Hired by whom, how do you think? You make conclusions due one single post?

Similarity is the U.S. is continuing to intervene in both despite Ukraine and Yemen being completely unimportant to the U.S.

The U.S. continues to waste billions on useless interventions, and Ukraine and Yemen are great examples of this waste.

What happens in Ukraine and Yemen is up to the peoples in those countries, and is of no interest to the U.S. whatsoever. Best thing the U.S. can do here is stay out of it.
