What a silly assertion. Iran will back down. Nobody goes toe to toe with the United States Navy. Their ships will end up on the bottom in the first 15 minutes of conflict.

How many years have we been in Afghanistan and Iraq now? In and out we were told. Even if they lose a ship they win as it would harden the resolve of those we are already needlessly engaged with.
Because if Iran wins, they get a larger piece of the region while the U.S backstabs its Sunni allies. Every action has a reaction.
The Sunni's, like Saudi Arabia, are not friends of the U.S. So what Iran gets Yemen, a nation totally unimportant to the U.S. In a previous thread you even mentioned how both sides are not friends to the U.S., so why back any side. The U.S. should stay out and let the cards fall where they may in Yemen.
