Now if only the county could find a way to recoup the millions of dollars Arpaio stole from the taxpayers to pay for his many, many lawsuits. They should confiscate everything he owns, though that would only be a drop in the bucket.

I love that his birther activities played a big part in his criminal contempt. That's just icing on the cake. Birthers deserve every bad thing that comes their way. (I'm looking at you, Trump.)

You mean like the head of the DOJ being held in contempt over F&F, in of all places....ARIZONA.

"WASHINGTON — The Republican-led House of Representatives on Thursday voted to hold Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt for failing to disclose internal Justice Department documents in response to a subpoena. It was the first time in American history that Congress has imposed the sanction on a sitting member of a president’s cabinet.
The politically and constitutionally charged dispute centered on whether the Justice Department must turn over e-mails and memorandums showing its internal deliberations last year about the botched Arizona-based gunrunning investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious. President Obama has invoked executive privilege to block the subpoena."

Did you get lost on your way to posting? This is a thread about crooked Sheriff Arpaio. You remember him. He's the guy who has cost his county millions and millions of dollars due to his ongoing criminal activities. The guy who is probably going to die in prison for criminal contempt of court.

Your attempt at deflection has failed.

If this Arpaio guy goes to jail or prison, can we mail him pink underwear?

Sure. Pick out a pair trimmed in lace when you do.

Top down government, or bottom up government? You decide.
Not so huge. He barely won four years ago. Helped in no small way by a vote splitting dark horse.

The Democratic organization in AZ (or at least in Maricopa County) is terrible. That helps the Republicans stay in power.

He is a very old guy and I expect to see him fade into irrelevance.
