This is the difference. You didn't have prominent Democrats saying that GWBush allowed 9/11 to occur.
You didn't have prominent Democrats saying that the GWBush tax cuts were enacted to destroy America.
You didn't have prominent Democrats saying that the GWBush war in Iraq was all a radical plan pushed by GWBushes unAmerican upbringing.
These kinds of insane conspiracy theories weren't uttered by prominent Democrats, but every insane President Obama talking point is repeated by elected and prominent conservatives.

This is a serious question. In 50 years, when thinking Americans, political scientists and historians look back on the two terms of President Barack Obama, will they conclude that racism was the primary motivating factor in the continued obstructionism of a Republican House and Senate?
I understand that the GOP wants this President (and by extension, much of America) to fail, I get that. I also understand that the GOP represents the richest 1% of America, as well as corporations and their shareholders, both of which contain the wealthiest white Americans.
I am not asking about those who vote Republican, whether or not they are racist is immaterial, I am talking about the Republican membership of the 111th, 112th, 113th and 114th United States Congress.
Considering they have put forth little reason to be overwhelmingly obstructionist during the Presidency of the United States first African-American President, someone who has bent over backwards to appease Republicans, will history view the overwhelmingly white, older, male membership of the GOP as racist? Will President Obama breaking the color barrier, and the irrational level of opposition faced in doing so, be attributed to a Jim Crow level of disdain for this nations first black President?
Or will this opposition to President Obama be rationalized as something else in 2066?
The only demographic I see that is making everyone a racist, is the Progressives. The party of the Godfather of Progressives, Woodrow Wilson. Segregation brought to America. Hillary "I'm a 20th Century Progressive" Clinton..... You think she has the black Americans best interest in mind? They didn't blame his tax cuts for the recession. They said his tax cuts produced huge budget deficits and were a huge giveaway to the rich both of which are 100% accurate.
No, Democrats didn't blame GWBush for 9/11. His popularity soared after 9/11. If prominent and elected Democrats would have been openly saying GWBush was responsible for 9/11, his popularity would have been muted.
Again, the 9/11truthers are not uniformly Democrats and none of them are repeated by prominent or elected Democrats.
Again no prominent or elected Democrats were saying that GWBush was trying to destroy America with high gas prices.
You simply refuse to see reality, that things you believe were said about GWBush were not uttered by prominent Democrats. It just didn't happen.

The only explanation becomes why are they saying these insane things that don't fit.
Oh its because they really are upset and scared of the man's racial identity and the demographic changes that are occurring in America, but they can't say that out loud, but they can say they hate President Obama cause he hates America, is a social/communist, is not an American citizen, is a radical muslim, that hates white people, that had an unAmerican upbringing.
These ideas all convey that President Obama isn't a "normal" Americans, there is something different and radical about him. He is an other not at all like his critics and most other Americans.
This kind of thinking and rhetoric is wholly motivated by racism.
