Sorry, I should have been more precise. Murder charges involve an intent to kill someone. That would be extremely hard to prove. That is the crap the prosecutor pulled to get the officers cleared in the trial when Eric Garner was killed by the police.
2nd degree doesn't hold the same level. No intent has to be proven. Just that you were responsible in a negligent way.
I agree. I'm thinking it's time to disband the police unions. They have become little more than instruments to keep the police from every being held responsible for anything.

Just like Freddy Grey, Garner would be alive today if he weren't a career criminal who resisted arrest.
The life of crime will always win in the end.....Not many criminals make it to the retirement home.

Could it be that charges were filed rather swiftly for the officers?
Did you actually listen to the SA's reading out the charges and explain just what they were and why they were found ??? She also made it clear that her office has been doing a separate investigation from DAY ONE...
NOT like many want to think ...she got the Police Report yesterday ..so how could she come out so quick with her charging these 6 officers...BUT this belief is wrong and mis-informed due to NOT listening to the pressor by this SA!!
The charging document filed by the police was proven as a lie...Their probable cause to arrest was they believed he had a knife..and found one after the takedown..and suggested by leaks as a "SWITCHBLADE"..which it wasn't..It was merely a pocket folding knife that millions of people carry around in their pockets..NOT an illegal knife...In the State of Maryland!!
