John Adams never served in the military, and IIRC, he qualifies both as founding father and President. He held a civilian post in the Continental Congress, chairman of the board of war. In other words, a through-and-through civilian being first kinda-sorta SecDef and then President. Isn't that strange?
No, and you forgot to mention that he served for time as quartermaster, a position that today is regarded as a military position.
Which was handled in the constitution where it is mandated that the government be under the control of civilian authority. Doesn't allow much room for military control, does it?
It's also not specified in the Constitution that one has to have served in the military to be POTUS. Seems the founding fathers didn't have an issue with a person lacking military experience being qualified, and you do, why is that? Some people are rejected for service for medical reasons. Should they not be eligible to run for President even though they meet the criteria set forth in the Constitution?
Do you also feel that a person running for Congress should have served in the military? After all, they do vote on matters concerning the armed services.

Shouldn't you be directing this at me? I am the one who thinks that POTUS should have military experience and I believe that you are misreading that member's post.

If it applies to you, yes. That member quoted me, so I was replying. I did not misread the post.
So a drunk serving KP duty and a high school dropout is more qualified than a Harvard graduate who never served?
Yes.
Bush graduated from Harvard and liberals constantly called him stupid and incompetent, what makes you think graduating from Harvard makes this hopelessly corrupt candidate qualified? Shouldn't the POTUS have at least a shred of integrity? Hillary clearly doesn't.
