Obama's Iraq trained force got its rear end handed to them with only 150 ISIS fighters vr 6000 Iraq government forces? What is his policy on the ground if he wants to help them they need ground controlled close air support with A-10's and Apache gun ships but it seems he must not want to even get that involved. Why are we even there at all if your going to help them that way. Why isn't the American people getting updates from our Generals we don't hear much of anything other then a few CNN reports which is injected with opinion.
obama also enjoys being a failure, so you're in good company... I beleive it's the democratic party's unofficial motto, we strive for failure, and they are extremely successful at it...
ISIS should be wiped out by the next door nations that are "threatened" by all their activity: Saudi, Jordan, and Turkey. The fact that these three, who could make short work of it, won't do a thing, indicates how much of a threat they truly are.
We should get out immediately and stay out, leaving them to themselves. It isn't worth a single US soldier's life.
They could but they won't put together a coalition. They are probably waiting for us to do it.
The mid eastern cultures will always wait for someone else to handle their problems. They do not want to spend their own time, energy or lives to defend themselves against a threat as obvious as ISIS so long as we are willing to do it for them. The culture of our Military that depends on combat experience to be considered for higher command assures that our military is ALWAYS willing to fight for whatever reason.
We need to do at least two things to lessen our losses:
Remove our troops, advisors and military aid to ALL of the Mideast.
Eliminate the need for a combat badge for higher rank in our military.
Neither the President, the State department or the Congress have a policy on ISIS except to keep wasting American soldiers and money to keep the military and its contractors happy and rich.
Either of these are unlikely because too much of our economy is dependent on military spending and the Israeli lobby controls our policy in the Middle East.
Combat experience is needed to show the officers exactly what war is about.
Obama is trying to get the people living in the region to deal with the ISIL problem created by our former Prez.
Wait a miniute, obama is still president. Though do see why you think of him as 'the former president'.
Obvama's isis policy is a success based on his goals. Unfortunately the rest of the country does not share obama's unstated goals and thus it appears obama is a failure.
Seems an easy fix for a good leader and media created great orator to clarify. Unfortunately again the great orator has chosen to not communicate where in the conflict lies in public opinion. suggests obama feels he would be wasting his breath on the unwashed ignorant massses whose only use to him is as useful idiots to support his vaguely stated agenda.
