He's compromised and his goals and motivations are suspect. He's definitely a sorry excuse for a Pope, certainly the worst in living memory. If you doubt his sincerity and his rational thinking, how can you put any faith in his religious teachings?

This pope is an idiot. The Catholics should be calling for his resignation.

Poor right wingers! Don't like a religious leader who is more educated and compassionate than their own homegrown, fanatical flat earth religious leaders who care more about what people do in their bedrooms than they care about science.

I haven't been a Catholic for a number of years (even though I had 16 years of Catholic Schools), but I'm pretty sure you cannot pick and choose to support or not support the Pope.

Leave the church, if you hate the Pope. I feel crazy even having to say that.

What do "right wingers" have to do with this?

"Flat earth?" Because some of us don't believe the faulty "science" that claims the earth is warming, that means we don't believe in any science? That is such a fallacious argument, I can't believe some of you still try to use it!

Education (is he really 'more educated') does not make a stupid person smart. All the education in the world does not erase intrinsic stupidity. There is such a thing as being "educated to imbecility." Anyone who believes in "global warming" is extremely gullible, and would probably believe just about anything.

THE SKY IS FALLING!

That's right, blindly follow. After all, he's "The Pope." You'd think he was God. He is a man and he is fallible. His opinions are his opinions, and nothing more. And, you know what they say about opinions!

Yep. Illustrated by Santorum telling the Pope he should leave science to the scientists when the Pope is a chemist and Santorum has zero science background. Santorum and the rest of the trogloytes on the right use the Bible as their textbook to lecture real scientists on science. Unbelievable.

God, please, save us from your followers.

As a recovering Catholic, I find Pope Francis is a real breath of 21st century air in a religion--Christianity--that has been firmly mired in the Dark Ages.

Dark Ages? Exaggerate much? What a joke. Perhaps you should have just changed churches.
