the race war in this nation is more strained than it has been under any President since Lincoln or perhaps Kennedy/Johnson.
We are somewhere between 50 years and 175 years back into the past right now. Except with iphones.
I would say that the Boomer Generation never really progressed beyond the segregation we were originally raised in: "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree." Right now, the last generation born and raised in segregation is still in control of politics, media, and industry.
Notice that the only fresh thoughts on the matter are X-Gen, and Millennials are mostly just wondering WTF everybody's problem is.
And I say this as a Boomer myself. For a long time, I thought we Boomers were the transitional generation, but I've seen in the last six years that we haven't changed after all.
Who are the racial agitators? People like Sharpton, O'Reilly, Jackson, Limbaugh...Boomers. I expect things will change when we Boomers are dead and someone else is in control.

Nah. Boomers did an even worse job in raising their children. The results speak for themselves.
*Yawns* That idiotic overused rhetoric is just that.
And to think people shot down my earlier posts, there's clearly a problem on this forum.
lol are you serious? how is it "idiotic rhetoric" please explain. Obviously you know it's the truth and have nothinng in response so you had to resort to that..
Williams also said: '... these young people aren't killing out of ideological fervor, it's because they have "no other options" and don't know any better."
I admit, that's a tougher one to solve. I'll have to ponder what options there are to shooting people and how to impress upon youngsters the strange concept that they shouldn't shoot at people having a community party.
I find that breathtaking. People don't have much to do so they have "no options" but to kill people? Right now I am looking for a job and maybe have too much time on my hand. It has not come into my head that I therefore need to start killing people. Especially at parties.
These Detroit and Philly incidents were just another day in the hood, the Charleston incident was 9 innocent church goers getting gunned down while praying; i see a big difference. I am not saying the people in Philly/Detroit in any way deserved what they got, but the situations surrounding the incidents vary greatly. We don't see the outrage on the black on black crime b/c the media doesn't blow it up nearly as much, and because the sad truth is most people don't care nearly as much.
since that bill didn't even get heard it's a stretch to claim it was 'tried.'
Same point. Sunk upon launch. Laughed away as soon as it was proposed.
