Ice, which once laid a protective cover over more than 90% of the land mass of the Earth, has retreated dramatically over the millennia. The polar bears which once roamed Central America have been gone from there for million of years. The glaciers have totally disappeared from Illinois and the rest of the northern tier of states. Climate change is wrecking everything!
