Red States yell and scream over Obamacare, but the Red States managed to sign up millions of people.
Funny how Republicans scream and cry on the internet. But behind close door, they sign their family up for Obamacare.

Of all the States in the US, Hawaii (blue state) is the ONLY State to put a stop to Obamacare.

Hating ‘Obama’ but loving the ‘Care’

Other “swing states” have a similar situation. I used this overview from Wikipedia to nudge every state into one category or the other, and came up with the following:
  • 22 Blue/blue-leaning states (and DC): California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington: 4.33 million QHPs to date … out of a population of 159 million people.
  • 29 Red/red-leaning states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming: 6.04 million QHPs to date … out of a total population of (wait for it) … 159.9 million people.
Yes, that’s right: If you split the country between blue/lean-blue and red/lean-red states, the total population is virtually 50/50 … but again: 40 percent more people have enrolled in the red states to date, even with every block or drag that their administrations tried to lay on them.

Isn't it the greatest when you can catch them being hypocritical? Nothing brings an impotent narcissist to orgasm faster, even faster than molesting priest stories, than detecting hypocrisy in Conservatives.

My favorites are the stories of Conservatives who refused to sign up for Obamacare, get sick, and then go online begging people to help them pay their medical bills.

Oh, so red states follow the law at a higher compliance than blue states. Got it.

You people are so far gone there's really no helping you.

I don't begrudge individuals in so called red states anything.

Look, they may not be the same groups of people. Meaning many of those millions using the ACA, might not be conservatives who hate President Obama.

It is conservative political leadership who are hypocritics, in that some take credit for the increased number of citizens with health insurance in their state while calling for the repeal of the ACA

In states run by Republican governors, a greater percentage of people get subsidies created by the ACA law than in Democrat-run states.

Are those that receive government/taxpayer handouts to pay for their insurance voting for Republicans? That is quite a leap if that is your claim.

Acceptance of Ocare is still pretty low in Texas, a state with 27 million residents. Last article I read said about a third, 1 million out of 3 million, of the people eligible for insurance subsidies had signed up. I wouldn't call that a resounding success.

What choice do they have? People pay their speeding tickets because they like speeding tickets or because they have to?

Texas also has the largest concentration of Americans overall, 26%, who are eligible for the expanded Medicaid coverage but whose Republican run states have refused the expansion. More than a million people have no coverage, and no access to coverage, simply because Texas Republicans refuse to allow it. It's unconscionable.

The citizens of Texas have elected the politicians they want to represent them.

Who are you to dictate anything to the voters of Texas?

Texas Senate lays out prerequisites for Medicaid expansion - Houston Chronicle

Who are you to dictate anything to the voters of Texas?
So they are going to make demands that the president negotiate different terms just for Texas before they will deign to allow their citizens the benefits that their fellow citizens recieve across the country without added stipulations? And you felt it added to this discussion how, to show that Texas is even more unreasonable than first thought? BTW, only the first paragraph is available from that link. The rest is behind a paywall, so if there was another point you wanted to make from that article beyond the first paragraph you're going to have to spell it out.

In the meantime, Texas is losing billions of dollars over their pig-headed stubbornness, and costing hospitals in the state some $5.5 billion in lost revenues annually.

Texas pays a big price for saying no to Medicaid expansion

But you are right, people get the government they deserve. But the GOP should watch out. One of these days Texans are going to wake up and realize their government is not serving them, and when they do, the GOP will be history.
