Some one likely offended on this earth by many flags. certainly the colonialist Europeans are hated in many places. that what drives it;hate. I guess I should be offended by what British empire did to my ancestors but then it drove them to come to America. Not much love for British in Scotland; Wales or Ireland which is well documented even to recent history.
Hanging a Confederate flag doesn't denote that the flag owner is a racist no matter what color he/she is. Plenty of whites find meaning in that flag that i'm sure aren't racists.
But if a black person hoists up a Confederate flag, they aren't racist....they're idiots, tools and Uncle Toms. I mean, you're REALLY gonna endorse the symbol of a nation set up ad hoc to keep your black ass in bondage and subjugation? Really?
Simply intolerable. But hey...this is a free country.
Maybe they just have different beliefs than you, but yes it is free country. This black women got verbally attacked for carrying the flag, like OMG just leave her alone.
If you claim something is "offensive" and then remove it from a building and from TV and from the market place etc, that's banning and censoring. I don't want to wave a confederate flag. I want it to be protected from banning and censorship for those who want to buy one or watch the Dukes of Hazzard etc.
And now the National Park Service is banning the flag on the graves of Confederate soldiers. Those battlefields are mostly in the South, of course. Talk about a lack of respect for the dead!
People say it's offensive when whites do it, but how do people feel when blacks do it? One of my neighbors is black and has one in his yard.
I would be offended as hell!! In fact more so.
