I'm not Chris Matthews. My leg doesn't tingle for Obama. I'm just looking at the facts. Bush was a loser we all knew would check out after the presidency. Obama seems like he didn't even really like being president. He appears to have a lot of ambition beyond the White House.
You deceive yourself and likely will never know it.
Barring some downfall, he'll be very popular with his supporters here and also around the world. He'll probably have the opportunity to influence world opinion in an official capacity of some organization if he wants it.
Has he indicated what his plans are post Presidency?
I know this thread is going to attract a lot of chucklehead comments, but hopefully there will be some serious discussion as well. What do you think he's going to do to occupy his time? I think he's still young and passionate so he'll go on to lend his name and prestige to plenty of causes. I suspect he'll go back to Chicago, but after that I'm at a loss. I'd like to see him involved in international politics - maybe serve as the US ambassador to the UN - but I don't know if he has any interest in doing so.
Find out Barry was born in Kenya and have Golf with dead fisn in Florida.
Well, people apparently pay to hear Sarah Palin spout word salad. Unless you are going for the comedy value of her speeches I don't see why anyone would pay her the price of a Big Gulp.
And come on, nononsenseguy, the one thing even the right generally concedes is that Obama is a good public speaker. I know you can't stand the guy, but he can definitely give a great speech.
Well, sure, if you consider word salad gibberish "speaking." I mean, she uses real words most of the time, so kudos to her for that much at least. Coherency, apparently, is expecting too much. (Good thing she has her palms to write notes on when the teleprompter isn't around.)

I believe that Obama will be very critical of a president Hillary, particularly if she works with a GOP Congress to roll back part of ObamaCare (such as repealing the tax on medical devices). Regardless of how the 2016 election turns out, the phony alliance between the Obamas and the Clintons will be over, so it will be interesting to witness how each of these two wings of the party will behave.
He'll be in public service of some kind, and probably give a lot of speeches. I agree he is a terrible speaker without a teleprompter. Too much stammering, hemming, hawing, whatever you want to call it. But people, especially those who love him unconditionally, will not be able to get enough of him.
Bill Clinton was a very good public speaker when he was in office, and still is.
I'll be fine if I never hear about Michelle Obama again after 1/20/17.

What ever makes you think Hillary will roll back part of ObamaCare? She's been an advocate of affordable health care since her husband was in office and they tried back then to get something done about it. You are also a lousy judge of character if you don't believe that Obama and Clinton haven't formed a close friendship these past four years.
