If you want to reduce the number of prisoners end the drug war. Lets attack our problem at the source. It is the drug war that is responsible for our high rate of imprisonment.
There's one candidate that wants to end the 'War on Drugs', wants to release all non violent drug offenders & restore their voting rights. It often puzzles Democrats when it's pointed out that the candidate in question is Rand Paul. Paul is far to the left of the mainstream D's.
Perhaps someday you or someone you know will be forced to fill a private prisons contract quota.
Today police officers often go out in large groups giving tickets to drivers to obtain their ticket funds quota. Perhaps someday it will be the same with private prisons (or perhaps it already happens by means of police arrests, laws, and court sentencing???)

Marco Rubio accepts donations from the private prison industry which disproportionately targets African Americans. I believe people like him wants America to be more like China or Russia which have legions of people in prison.
If we are going to stand against China and Russia lets stop becoming more like them and deport these corporatist politicians to those places!
More deportations would help to lower prison populations.

This country has only white racist cops, at no time does this country have any other skin colored or ethnic cop.
Not a single one has ever been arrested by anyone other than a white racist cop.
Not a single one of them has any prior convictions.
Not a single one of them got their day in court to prove their innocence.
Every last one of them is in there for a little toke on a joint, nothing else.
Only their lives matter.
Yeah, but none of this would have happened if Rubio hadn`t accepted campaign donations from corporate for-profit prisons that need turds like this to fill their for-profit turdatoriums.

If you don't vote for Rubio, do it because he has as much experience running things as Obama did in 2008 and look at what hot a mess that created.
Weird how somehow Rubio is the racist but the bulk of black incarcerations occur in democratically controlled bastions.
Also, they privatize tons of stuff around the country both in repub and dem areas.
Heck, Chicago privatized their city parking and ticketing for billions as Mayor Daley left office and many utilities are privately run as well.
Wierd how people ignore an issue completely until they can go after someone politically with it but at least their ignorance means they aren't being a hypocrite lol.
Maybe going to prison is preferable to getting killed by the cops for driving a nice car while black.
From the investors point of view we should also privatize the police so the prisons will always be full and the profits unlimited.
My solution to the problem is to legalize all drugs and sell them in state owned stores with half the profits going to addiction programs and the rest to decrease property taxes. A lot of addicts may be created but so what? Nobody forced them to use drugs and the results are their fault not ours.
Without the continuous flow of new prisoners the prisons could be closed and, hopefully, their owners bankrupted.
