depending what happens with the market in the next few months, but most of us know, what happend this past week was simply a correction. I wish it was all gloom and doom, but I don't think it will affec the election. Other things will bring the Dem down though.

Why do you wish hardship and pain on Americans? Our founding fathers warned that a party-based political system would lead to people putting party before country. Very sad to see. It's too bad we can't revoke citizenships for such destructive views.

Sure, if we have another market crash, after Obama and Pelosi repealed the "destructive tactics of the GOP/past" ("rolleyes, then, yes, the Democrats are hurt. If that happens, I'd actually expect a Trump presidency, so long as Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee.

Doom and gloom = "being greedy when others are fearful" / "buy low, sell high". Glad I've been putting a little bit of each pay check into a savings account, time to buy some cheap stocks!

This is a correction. It is a natural part of a market economy. It's nothing to freak out about; just brings prices back closer to their actual value rather than an inflated value.

We were overdue for a correction. It's nothing like the bottom falling out of the market like in 07-08.
But teh dumb-O-crats took our jerbs!

The election isn't until November 2016, this is August 2015.

Agree?

Slumping stocks another blow to Hillary

No-

Keep in mind most US citizens now are idiots. As a result, there will always be democrat politicians to represent them and assure them that they will receive treats from the treasury, no matter what.

Have you seen "on the street" interviews with democrats? Get real- most don't even know they are living in the United States or the 21st Century. As long as the checks keep rolling in and there is gay marriage, a little stock market collapse or a depression is not a big deal- that only affects "rich people"!

By the time we were able to get it. It was at $92.70 Just a small example of how some people have access to the market before it actually opens.
Ask Martha Stewart how that works.
