Great video! Derrick sounds like a very smart man. Unfortunately, he will be called a self-hater, an uncle tom, and a carpetbagger.

This mainstream conservative (cuckservative) line on race is weak. And how ironic that it must be articulated by a black person. America needs a dose of realism.

10 Signs You Might Be A Cuckservative

Because they realize that is wrong for black conservatives to say blacks need to get off the plantation and stop voting for Democrats...

He lays the BS on especially thick at 2:58:

"Conservatives believe that blacks and other minorities are every bit as capable as whites of succeeeding as policemen, firemen, businessmen, lawyers, doctors, politicians and college students. Yet for this belief conservatives are called racist. The irony of course is that those who accuse conservatives of being racist believe that blacks and other minorities are not a capable as whites of succeeding and still need affirmative action."

Affirmative action is wrong, not because all groups are equally capable (they aren't) but because it puts group average outcomes ahead of the rights of individuals and the best interests of society.

I'm not going to call him an Uncle Tom, because every person has a right to his viewpoints.

However, it's so funny when people on one side of an issue (but in this case, conservative Republicans) will jump on an outlier that -- in this case -- they would typically call a "thug" (ever read City Data?????) based simply on color -- and then say how wonderful this young man is because he is one of the VERY few Blacks with the point of view he expresses.

Only 11% of Blacks are, or lean, Republican. According to Pew Research, there is no other subgroup that leans so heavily in favor of one party or the other, which leans that strongly to one side. So let's use Darryck's sort of logic (as he expressed about getting an ID to register), are Blacks really that stupid that they aren't smart enough to know which party listens the most to them? In fact, the highest number of Black delegates at a Republican convention peaked at 167 in 2004, and has since plummeted by over 78%. And in fact, in several articles I read, the Republican Party declined to give a delegate count by race at the last convention. But, let's face it, it was a sea of White faces.

Since 1900 the number of Black Republican governors in the United States = 0.
Since 1900 the number of Black Republican senators in the United States = 2 (number of Black Democrat senators = 5).
There are currently 42 Black members of the House Of Representatives. Number of current Black Republicans members of the House = 0.

In other words, Republicans do NOT represent Black Americans.

And as Derryk seems to say, Black Americans are not stupid.

LMAO yet you falsely testify and group conservative republicans. But that's okay right?

How are things working out for blacks now that they've had all that democratic help?
Which Presidential candidate in the last two elections was the only one who promoted the ending of the war on drugs and cited the racism involved? Answer the only conservative republican running, Ron Paul, unless you want to count Johnson
Whose idea was it and is co-sponsoring the Redeem Act with Corey Booker that levels the playing field by expunging non violent drug offenders. Conservative Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

Explain how do Republicans NOT represent Black Americans?

from the 2014 elections
Mia Love, the first black female republican in Congress is serving. Will Hurd, the first black republican from Texas elected to Congress is serving. Those are two more things you've gotten wrong.

FYI Tim Scott is South Carolinas first black republican ELECTED as Senator and is still serving
