There are less police officers per capita being killed today than in the 1980s. The difference between then and now is that more is put on the news about police officers being killed.
12 year old Tamir Rice was given two seconds to drop his toy gun. That's not even enough time for him to realize they were talking to him. If that had been a grown white guy with a real gun he would have started babbling about his second amendment rights and wouldn't have been killed. He'd probably have a video up on Youtube called "schooling police on the right to bear arms"
What use are those guns anyway other then making some kind of statement? Hey look at me, I have a gun. Some robber pulls out a pistol what good is that gun strapped to your back going to do?
The problem is that police aren't one monolithic group. They are individuals, with individual reactions. You posted links of white people not getting shot, but you could just as easily post some where white people were shot and black people were not. The guy who shot Tamir Rice probably had no business being a cop if his reaction was like that. He is too nervous to have a weapon.
I have a son, and my husband bought him an airsoft gun that looks real. I will not let him walk around the neighborhood with it. They shouldn't even make toy guns that look real. It's ridiculous, and just asking for trouble.

The same is true for violent crime in general. But I have read that the murder rate is going up this year. Just listening to the local news reminds me of the early '90s. I hope the upward trend doesn't continue.

For some reason, it's up in certain cities like St. Louis, Baltimore, and Milwaukee. In Atlanta, the murder rate has dropped this year.
Fixed. And they wonder why there's not nearly as much trust between police and the communities they serve anymore
#! - It's rude and usually against TOS to arbitrarily "change" a post to suit your Agenda
#2 - I guess this means you are in support of blowing out the brains of Law Enforcement who are either pumping gas or eating lunch.
There you have it folks -- the Leftist viewpoint. "Pigs in a blanket" (this means body bags). Fry 'em up like bacon. Disgusting -- AND Dangerous.

St. Louis and Baltimore could definitely be the Ferguson effect. I don't know why Milwaukee is going up, but I think my city of Houston is also going up.
So what your actually proving, is more guns in society, dont = more people dying..
No, I'm proving that fewer pirates leads to more global warming. I mean, if you're going to make up correlations out of thin air, at least be creative.
What makes you think blacks have ever been treated like you or me? The Jim Crow laws were alive and well in my lifetime! Segregation as a whole is still being practiced today. There are way more white people than black people on welfare and you don't expect them to just pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I never mentioned reparations, at all. That might be a different poster.
Could you be like so many racists, just a little upset that so many, many, many blacks excel so often when given the same opportunities, or even when they are not, in some cases. Entertainment, business, sports, philanthropy, heck, I hear there is even a black president for goodness sake! Woe is you!
WHAT makes YOU THINK? Or do you - my guess is not. You do know this is 2015 right? What makes you think you know the details of my life / how I've been treated. I go by FACTS and EVIDENCE happening TODAY -- I don't live in the past. Of course reality isn't important to some so they go traipsing thru the past whining and boo hoo ing all the way.
Grow up.
