If a situation arose how quickly could you fire off a shot?
I don't know, why don't you tell us the plot of the movie you're watching or the fantasy you dreamed up where this happened and maybe someone can tell you.
What the hell does the wild wild west have to do with this? Which probably wasn't all that wild considering in a lot of towns you had to turn in your gun while you were in town
Just trying to get the leftist memes out of the way so this thread won't go on forever....
You just happen to find a new leftist meme that has not caught on yet....
Unlike handguns the primary purpose of a rifle being carried outdoors is seldom self-protection from human predators. You might have your gun on your shoulder as you walk around your farm in case a varmint appeared that needed killing. You might be walking to your deer stand. You could be protesting in support of the 2nd Amendment.
Okay, in the context of your original post I honestly thought you were using the phrase "strapped to your back" as hyperbole. I don't carry a gun strapped to my back, I carry it where it is easier to draw and shoot. If you are presenting a situation where the bad guy as you put it already has his gun drawn, obviously that puts a different slant on the situation. Is that your premise? If I felt I was about to be killed or raped I probably would take my chances.
That's the way lefties work...they give you half the question and then tell you that you are wrong because now someone is coming from behind you....then there gun is already out....finger on trigger...
Just go back and look...the OP continues to add to the story so he looks like they know what they are talking about....it's called making up the story to fit the context of the question....
