I have been a regular Limbaugh listener and fan for the better part of a decade now. I agree with most of his views, but what kept me tuning back on was the program was just fun to listen to. He's one of the few radio hosts that is optimistic and seems to hold the country in very high esteem, all the while being good entertainment and promoting unabashed conservatism.

But lately, it seems the program has lost a bit of a step. There are more long plugs for products in where there should be actual content. He often just reads articles verbatim. The quality has gone downhill and I am not as frequent of a listener.

Do you think the program has lost a step?

I haven't listened to him much for a few years now, (can't have the radio on during my work hours), but I used to really enjoy his parody songs.

The last time I turned in he spent an inordinate amount of time talking about football, which is a major snooze for me, but I think he still has a very good grasp on what's happening and offers a much different take on the elections from the talking heads on TV.

He has an interesting point of view, excellent speaking skills and a good ability to pull together lines of reasoning and information to draw usually correct motives behind the actions of our elected officials that are too often overlooked in the superficial pablum put out by the entertainment networks.

Maybe he doesn't have the edge he did when younger, (who does?), but I think he's still a pretty good listen.

Al Gore's Paradise, In a Yugo, Banking Queen are my favorites.

I haven't listened regularly since 2012... found myself spending more time listening to Him than spending time with Christ. I had to correct that.

But I do credit him with helping me see the stitches on a liberal fastball.

I have moved on to "The Andrew Wilkow Show" on Sirius/XM Patriot. It runs in the same Noon-3pm timeslot.

No, he is still the same failed sports reporter that he always was.

I've listened to Wilkow but he seems quite pretentious and doesn't seem to connect with anyone as easily as Limbaugh can.

Limbaugh lost a step? He lost his mind many years ago. If you like listening to him I believe you would enjoy a conversation with almost any patient at your local lunatic asylum.

I like Wilkow because he takes more callers and encourages liberals to challenge his opinions. They go to the front of the line.
