If millennials are disengaged from the political system and forms of government, why are they allowed to serve in the U.S. armed forces and allowed to vote in the first place? Should the U.S. voting age be raised to 45 and older?

Seriously, the US military would get vanishingly small if young people are not allowed to serve. Please point out to me one militarily successful government in all of history that barred people who were less than middle-aged.
And once they're fighting, you have to let them vote. Sorry, that's just how it is.
At a personal level more Americans go from being Liberal to Conservative, than the other way around.
If it weren't for massive immigration, the Liberal Democrats would be struggling.
That's not my impression. Why do you think that?
