True, and I am not sure when we got to thinking that this problem of terrorism was anything but a global problem, but just because the names change (from Zionism to Bin Laden to Al Qaida to ISIL to ISIS...) doesn't make the problem a new one!
ISIS is a religious cult with world domination and establishment of some holy caliphate as it's dreamscape. There have been many cults before and this is just one with lots of money and lots of weapons and it appeals to a certain type of person. We need to cut off the money. Sometimes cults turn on themselves (like Jonestown) and we should help them along in that direction. I suspect it will likely be an internal conflict that starts the decline and makes them vulnerable. The Taliban is apparently having this occur with a leadership fight going on at some level now.
I don't see al Qaida in the same terms. They seem to be reactionary and anti-west more than anything else.
By definition, that would start with wresting away control from liberals of the school system and actually teaching people about how political power and global politics work on a meta-level.
As of now, that education more-or-less is comprised of "Whites bad", victim politics, and generic politically meaningless platitudes about freedom and tolerance.
Maybe just me, but the Bible does not portend good things for non-believers either. Make of all that religious "truth" as you will. The problem is not one or the other...
Sure it is. Nowhere in the Bible believing Faith, Christianity, nor its book, the New Testament, is there a call for violent intolerance of any belief.
The religion of the Israelites is a defunct religion of the Old Testament. It was intolerant of polytheism, but it doesn't exist anymore.
Judaism is intolerant of polytheism but it is a religion of the Talmud (Oral Torah), not the Bible.
Islam is expressly and violently intolerant of polytheism. It widely views Christianity as polytheism.
See, and that's the problem with you conservatives...
This quoted statement above is a lie.
Yes, there are Islamic terrorists who are evil and should be defeated.
Yes, Muslim nations have a serious cultural problem that enables extremism to flourish.
No, not nearly all people who are Muslim are terrorists.
You only hear about the very few who do bad things; the vast majority you never heard of are normal people just like you.
Why can't adults be mature and make intelligent distinctions?
The same exact logic could have been applied to National Socialist supporting Germans living in Nazi Germany.
Do you propose that we also make intent and extremist distinctions between Nazis?
How consistent are you prepared to be with your politics?
I have a feeling that your morality is only as consistent as it serves to fit your anti-majority, anti-Western, and anti-Christian political agenda.
It's amazing how these terrorists are successfully attacking many of the most powerful countries in the world, and they just do nothing about it. It doesn't matter what weapons we have because liberal tolerance will continue to let them run amok. We can't have national security if it means someone's feelings might get hurt.
So is this what you wanted, liberals? All these deaths in France. All these crime waves hitting countries that let the "migrants" in?
EXACTLY! As Brigitte Gabriel tells us "the Islamists will use our own freedoms against us"!

I think they write the victims off as collateral damage.
They have vilified at least one San Bernardino victim with the implication being that he deserved it.

"By definition?"
Don't need to be too smart to see the false premise here...
