idk about "guaranteed $60k starting salary", but the rest of those things are achievable. Economic productivity per person has continued to grow for generations, and companies are more profitable than they've ever been in American history. Those gains just aren't going to workers.... yet.

Just look at countries like Germany and Switzerland. Their people have WAY better quality of life than Americans, because they have politicians who make regulations on behalf of workers.

Germany's government has the money to spend on its citizens largely because the US taxpayers pay their military protection bills as well as the military protection costs for the rest of socialized Europe.

Switzerland's population is less than NYC and while they do have an exceptional economy, how any intelligent person can compare an 8 million person country to a country of 320 million is beyond me.

Which is a huge mistake. And again, why millenials support socialism for the United States. There is no good reason to sacrifice our health for European security. It didn't make much sense during the cold war, and it makes even less sense in 2015.

Per-capita. That's how "an intelligent person" compares it.

Population is not an obstacle to those domestic policies that you just listed.

Swiss GDP per capita is 56,939
American GDP per capita is 54,629
German GDP per capita is 45,615

there is no reason we can't afford the same labor regulations, healthcare systems, mandated maternity/paternity leave, mandated vacation leave, as successful european nations.

This melinnial would like to see an America not wrapped up in war constantly. For that to happen, there needs to never again be a president like George Bush who will just mindlessly pick fights with other countries.

And something needs to be done about income inequality. The rich are richer than they have ever been and the working classes are being reduced to serfs. This seriously needs to end.

If Switzerland were your home instead of The United States you would...

be 56.16% less likely to be unemployed
be 87.97% less likely to be in prison
have 12.88% more free time
consume 45.85% less oil
be 81.58% less likely to be murdered
use 39.97% less electricity
experience 36.22% less of a class divide
be 39.55% less likely to die in infancy
live 2.83 years longer
make 3.79% more money
be 33.33% less likely to have HIV/AIDS

Le roi, I'd rather have more of my earned money to spend as I choose, which would not be the case in Switzerland due to a significantly higher cost of living than the US, and take personal responsibility for lifestyle choices like not being unemployed, in prison, etc, per your list.

I am exceedingly lucky to be born in "my home".... America, especially after spending considerable time in most of the countries in Western Europe and working and knowing many young expats. Millennials don't realize how truly difficult it is for young people in socialized Europe in terms of employment.

I'm not overtly concerned with immigration, I live in AZ and I assume that risk. I don't want to hear about God and am not voting for any bible thumper who uses Jesus in his policy.

In terms of candidates. I like Kasich's pragmatic world view and want Sanders to win the DNC primary.
Speaking for the Ye Olde Farts, we would like less inane hyperbole from Millennials.
