I saw that on the news last night and thought "good" but then I was reminded how the city was a hard fought win by our military with many deaths then how it was lost through bad politics.
Hopefully it lasts, but I'm not holding my breath for long.
I do hope we don't need our troops there, but on the other hand, Iran will just strengthen it's influence there, and I don't think the US will let that happen.
It is good news but a shame that it took the Iraqi's so long to get to this. ISIS shouldn't be in that city or any of the others for that matter if the Iraqi army just did the job it was trained. Glad we held the line and didn't have ground troops involved that was a smart decision.
