Saudi Arabia (pop. 27 million) can't invade or win a war against Iran (77 million). About 10 million of that 27 million are foreign guest workers who have few rights and no loyalty to the pampered Saudi regime.
Someone remind me how many of the 9/11 hijackers came from Iran and how many came from Saudi Arabis, I'm getting old and my memory seems to be failing me.
Seriously? The only thing that Saudi Arabia is purposefully destroying is OPEC, so unless you feel more sympathy for oil companies than you do for us manufacturers and consumers....
I live in North Dakota, my spouse works in oil. I have sympathy for the thousands of people who are out of work right now because Saudi is trying to bury us.

Agreed if it's 1 on 1. IF the US or even Israel helped out Saudi; that'd be the end of Iran real fast.

Oil production is still very very high in the us, we've just stopped expanding it as fast.

Sorry, but my sympathies lie with millions of Americans who are receiving a boom in savings due to lower energy costs and the far more jobs provided by industries experiencing those lower costs, and I haven't even begun to talk about the environmental benefits derived from lower use of fossil fuels.
Your husband and all the rest jumped on the Boom created by fracking and production of shale oil, but like Booms in the past, you had to realize that a Bust can't be kept at bay.

I'm well aware of that. The cut in expansion has cost us middle class blue collar jobs.
