You can make $30,000 in some economies in the US and barely afford the $900 studio apartment you share with 3 other people, or you can make $30,000 and enjoy a nice 4-bedroom ranch home on an acre of land.
I don't know man...30K doesn't go too far anywhere these days IMO.

My state supposedly has a low cost of living, but 30K won't get you much in Arizona.

This chart seems to show income levels of those people who are contributing to social security, so this is only counting those who are employed. These numbers are also for individuals, where usually we see household income levels shown. 30k as the halfway point seems does seem very low and with marriage rates on the decline it will have an impact as there are less households with a combined income now.

That, in itself has led to the additional problem of nearly half of all U.S. births being paid for by Medicaid. 70% of those kids will never rise out of poverty, even as adults.

Only 30% of those born poor ever make it out of poverty

This is what is increasing the percentage of those who make less than $30,000 a year. An exponential amount of population growth is occurring at the bottom.

BTW, Medicaid and Public Health Departments cover birth control for the poor so there's NO excuse for these statistics.
Exactly-

I have said this many times before. The objective of the democrat party is to create more and more dependent, poor people in the US.

The objective of the average American is to be independent and financially secure.

The goals of the Democrat party and average American citizen are diametrically opposed.

Those are wage stats. Wages, like many other things, forms a pyramid, with many at the bottom and few at the top. Many more people earner $20k annually than earn $200k. More people earn $30k than $100k. The median is always going to reflect that distribution.

Given that the median household income is in the $50k range and median family income is around $60k, I'm not sure why this is particularly surprising. Did you all think that everybody was pulling in $100k or something? The fact is, $60k in family income puts you in the middle while $100k puts you in the top 5-8% of all families.

And the goal of the Right is reduce the "average American" to a Third World slave working for pennies a day.

Exactly so.

Everyone should think very carefully about that...

There is no White Plains New Jersey. There is a White Plains New York
