We should all chip in and send the PPN a consolation cake.

Apparently these folks have spent too much time with some of the members of our community who don't:
a. Sovereign Immunity;

b. understand the Supremacy Clause;

c. Supremacy Clause Immunity that flows out of it.
The state of Oregon cannot prosecute federal agents for conduct within the scope of their authority. Any such case that may exist has to be transferred to federal jurisdiction as a matter of course so any investigation while interesting is a total waste of time. And as the Judge Grasty points out, the state of Oregon has no authority to interfere much less remove federal agents while they are pursuing their official duties particularly when those duties are being conducted on federal lands.

Life's a beach when you are clueless.

I think a lawyer would be more appropriate.

If nothing else comes out of this brouhaha, it's been gratifying to see how completely powerless the "Patriot Networks", self-styled militias, 3%ers and whatnot turned out to be. When the call went out, they stayed home in droves. Minutemen they sure aren't.

There are things one shouldn't do, even to lawyers.

Agreed. All of the above is particularly relevant in light of the 'continuing occupation.'

Although the Bundys seem to be contending the FBI & the Oregon State Police are those 'leading the armed occupation' & not the four people from their militia group:

"Bundy said the FBI and Oregon State Police surrounding Malheur National Wildlife Refuge are leading an "armed occupation," words typically reserved for the ranchers and others that launched the standoff on Jan. 2. He said the refuge "belongs to the people," according to a statement read by his attorney."
Ammon Bundy: Oregon refuge 'belongs to the people'

Meanwhile one of the four seems to be waiting for reinforcements:

"We're still here," said David Fry, adding that the four hope sympathizers will come out to back them up. "We need the American people to get the courage to stand up."

Agreed here too. Even those who feel some sympathy for the Bundy family's 'cause' or 'message' do not, apparently, agree with their methods.

American people do not lack the courage to stand up. It's disingenuous to suggest such.

I wish he would have just ignored them, better off not giving them a platform. They are irrelevant, no need to state the obvious to someone that lacks basic mental capacity.

The governor of Oregon along with most local officials asked that the FBI remove them and felt they were being too patient.
