Even as a felon, the person can have everything shipped right to their house everything needed to slap together a nice AR pistol.

I'm talking fully assembled, ready to shoot, when you get it out of the box.

I have 3 guns that were mail order in the 1960's & 70's
.38 Special
30/30 rifle
30.06 rifle

All ordered from the Sears catalog and delivered to my door. No questions asked. It was unconstitutional to deny me that.
Who amended the 2nd amendment, to allow the government to deny me that right?

Here is a CLUE:
With this Presidential election, everyone is worried about the possibility of 4 Supreme Court Justices, being replaced.....

That is how the progressive government of the last 100 years, has change the Constitution, without an amendment.

Those who are advocating (if not actually DEMANDING) background checks on all weapons transactions might want to take a very close look at Washington State.
It has been a little over a year since I-594 was passed by the voters and went into effect. The law requires that ALL firearm trades have a background check done, including loans of firearms! That's right, if I wanted to loan a pistol to my son, a background check would have to be done. Then, when he returned it to me, I would have to have a background check done before I could accept it back.
OK, folks, Washington State has EXACTLY what you want! Let's look at it:
How many "private party" firearms sales, trades, or transfers have taken place in Washington since the law went into effect? (nobody knows)
How many background checks have been done for private party sales? (nobody knows for sure, but probably none)
How many arrests have been made for failing to do a private party sale background check? (none)
What do many of the law enforcement personnel in Washington state have to say about the law? ("We can not and will not try to enforce that law. We simply do not have the money or resources to do so!")

So, please explain exactly what such a law at the Federal level will accomplish. It certainly isn't doing any good at the State level!

But that's not the reason we shouldn't enact a full background check at the Federal level!

So, do it anyway? Even though it's got more holes than a brick of swiss cheese. Because maybe, might, perhaps, could.......

People are still buying and selling guns, ammo, parts, etc on facebook and craigslist.

It will continue no matter what. You can't stop what you can't see..

and there are ways around the filters, etc.

people will try anything.

I feel like too many people speed while driving. To crack down on this, we should put up signs with an arrow pointing to the speed limit sign.

That'll get people to slow down!

Just like how background checks stop people from buying guns illegally.

Your preaching to the choir.

Unless your talking about armed insurrection this is going to be a legal and political battle without end.

Yes. We need to pile on more useless laws for the law abiding citizens until they give up their gun ownership!
