Yes. The likelihood of a reinstatement of the draft in the near future anyway is probably remote at best.

The number of private contractors has equaled ( Balkans) or exceeded ( Iraq and Afghanistan) the number of US troops for quite some time and not all are American.

This creates the perception of a smaller military which compels some politicians, who should know better, to use it to justify more spending. It's along the same lines as a politician talking about fewer battleships while ignoring the size and capabilities of current fleet is multiples of what once existed.

It's industrial military complex lobby speak.

Wouldnt want my daughter or son fightin no stinkin war for some rich bastards/cfr overseas.. But fair is fair.. either do away with it or sign em up

I also favor mandatory conscription. No educational or non total disability exceptions.

Patrol the borders, learn how to follow orders, rebuild a bridge, repair lead corroded pipes, serve. Grow up.
