School holidays should be set based on the LOCAL COMMUNITY. I think what she is referring to is that if a significant percentage of the student body is one religion, then their holidays should be taken into consideration when planning days off. It is not fair to just acknowledge Christian holidays and exclude Jewish or Muslim. You will not shut down an entire school for one Budhist.
But Christian holidays are not observed in the schools. Christmas is now secular and called Winter break, Easter is Spring Break. What Christian holidays are observed?

Oh, finally I understand why Liberals have allied themselves with ultra conservative radicals. We are going to get another Federal Holiday out of it. I was really stumped there for awhile.
This proves that this reality we live in, was not supposed to be a happy one. I believe humans cycle over and over again through the same trials and tribulations. We found this continent, we fought the indians and we won it. We built a beautiful country, we made it the richest and most powerful in the world so our descendants would have a safe place to prosper for thousands of years (that was the dream).
Well, white guilt, liberal idiocy....you name it but we are giving it all away and are really sealing the doom of those descendants that we had such high hopes for. They will be raped, interbred right out of existence and this country will look like Mogadishu mostly with castles in gated off, exclusive areas for the super rich.
And then in a hundred years, a war will have to be fought to win it back...wash, rinse, repeat...
