The reality is, a lot of those Londoners will leave for better job prospects. Why stay in London when there are better opportunities elsewhere? They've seen what the opportunities are and when those jobs leave, they will try to go with them. So you lose your more educated populace and remain with the guys that never made much money but have won revenge on the elites. You chose a smaller country, a smaller presence and fewer jobs. That is the reality. And in the coming months, there will be a lot of anger and bitterness as these offices close. It will be like Enron multiplied.
The difference between Remain and Leave in London was roughly 700,000 votes hardly the "very strongly" as you put it. The reality is you have no clue what will happen and make laughable assumptions. Nothing has happened.

No, less than 24 hours after the vote closed, the jobs have not left. They will leave. Thousands of jobs will leave and Britain has to prepare for that.

Look, the majority of London is comprised of foreigners. The Englishmen voted to leave, the foreigners voted to remain. It isn't complicated.

The same thing applies to America as well. Our foreigners/minorities always want more-centralized government. New York City is a liberal cess-pool primarily because its almost all foreigners, or people who work in international finance/World Trade Organization/United Nations/etc.

It will work itself out as long as you define "work itself out" as thousands of fewer jobs and a much smaller economy, which is what you voted for yesterday. Notice how London very strongly voted to Remain? Because they wanted to keep their jobs. I'm sorry for them but they know exactly who to blame and I'm sure they'll find a way to do it.
Why? Because any country that took over would then be expected by the countries not holding up their end to be the one to keep them financed and no country is going to want to be that country.

You gotta love how the globalist loving liberals are reaching back 200 years in the past to desperately make some useless point.

Without British rule India would be no better off than Bangladesh right now (probably worst), Pakistan would not even exist, and the people living on the Falkland Islands have voted several time overwhelmingly to stay a part of Britain.

Scotland had better move fast, the EU may be a memory by the time they try to join it, There is also that little problem of 2/3 of there trade is with Britain.
Scotland may seek independence but they will certainly not waste themselves joining a dying EU.
