Not true. Nominees' actions are taken into account by the Senators, and they can be filibustered or voted up or down (actually, no reason is even needed to filibuster or vote down a nominee). In Holder's case, it was KNOWN that he had previously advocated not prosecuting bankers and Wall Streeters for their crimes, as I've already posted.

I wrote a dissertation on this subject indirectly but for sake of simplicity let's dispel with the myth that the 1% don't pay taxes, are a monolithic block, and hold their wealth in dollars and not stock.

The 1% is mostly comprised of the founders of public companies and their wealth is largely tied to equity in companies. There is no reason for a guy with a millions in cash to sell billions in stock simply to pay millions more in taxes. The marginal utility of a dollar to a billionaire is totally different than to Joe the Plumber.

The 1% form foundations simply to avoid taxes. They are no more altruistic than the 99%. They simply choose to pay on their terms.
