Please put more thought into your replies in the future. Of course republicans care about those issues, which was my point about how extra motivated republican voters will counter extra democrat voters outraged about trump. The main problem for the democrat side is they are concentrated in super majority states where going from 78% dem to 83% dem doesn't move the needle in the electoral college, but extra republican voters can actually lock in more swing states
But my prediction right now for 2020 is Biden beats Trump in a tight race, all after a meltdown by the liberal-socialist wing that Biden isn't radical enough. Of course if Biden has a heart attack and dies before then Trump would win reelection
PLENTY of thought in my replies. You seem to think that somehow all that Democratic enthusiasm is only in deep Blue states where Democrats would win anyway? WHY would any rational person think that?
OF the 4 generally Blue states that went for Trump over Hillary (barely, with a combined 70,000 or so majority for all those states COMBINED) - and are generally credited with putting him over the top in the EC, things went REALLY BAD for Republicans in 2018. Of those 4 critical swing states that gave Trump that win in 2016, only Ohio was good for the GOP in 2018. The rest were REALLY BAD for the GOP:
Wisconsin: Democrats swept Governor (tossing out GOP incumbent Scott Walker), the U.S. Senate position, the Attorney General position, the Secretary of State position, and the Treasurer position. In the heavily gerrymandered U.S. House races the GOP did keep their majority, but even there the Democrats crushed them in the popular votes (winning by nearly 8 points).
Michigan: Democrats took Governor (tossing out another GOP guy), winning by 10 points. They also held their Senate seat and took 2 more U.S. House seats. They also took Secretary of State, Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor. A total sweep
Pennsylvania: The incumbent Democratic Governor CRUSHED his GOP opponent by 17 points. They held their Senate seats and picked up House seats.
That doesn't bode well for Trump and the GOP in 2020.
Right. Trump talking to the regular folks who can pay $1,000 a night to stay at the Trump Hotel.
Exactly. He cannot even relate to or would normally not associate with those who put him on a pedestal, those he just uses to create numbers for rallies, for their applause and accolades.

You mean we can't all relate to having an affair with a porn star and paying her over six figures to keep quiet? I thought all American men had similar experiences. Can it be that Trump and me are really among the few? Are we not also all billionaires who got our start with millions from daddy?
a mild drop in approval but a sharp hike in disapproval.
The disapproval numbers the past few days have been shocking - solidly in the double digits. I guess his racist attacks on "The Squad" did not go over too well with moderate voters. Moderates don't approve of a president who speaks like that.
It will be 100% by the time he leaves office. He will make everyone fall in love with him. He is very seductive in this way. One can see this in his beautiful wives.

his approval is currently about the same as when he took office ( 43.3 v 43.9 ).
