Should we just put a giant wall around the entire country and end all outside connections via airports to make America secure? I love this magical unicorn right wingers ride around on with this idea of a wall somehow fixing all their problems.
Geez, talk about exaggerating...... Congress already approved of 700 miles of wall on the most porous areas of our southern border and that's it. I don't know of anyone who is proposing a wall along the entire southern border and certainly not the things you are exaggerating about. The wall would only be a part of the solution.
The point is a wall is literally stone age technology, i don't have a problem securing the border but a wall is a feel good waste of money. The most conservative estimates are in 12B+, it seems to me that they could put it out to bid and companies will come up with better solutions than a wall, for a fraction of the cost you could sling fiber across the border, build a self healing mesh that would allow you to place sensors, pressure plates etc.n
Illegals costs us billions a year. The wall will pay for itself in no time.
Actually, if you want to end illegal immigration, the laws should be enforced. No more "safe havens" like San Francisco and Boston.
If you want to end a large percentage of crime and illegal immigration, start by legalizing marijuana. The two go hand in hand.

I believe Trump has been proposing a wall along the entire southern border.

Trump may be proposing it but he has also said that we need to complete the 700 mile wall already approved by congress but not funded. Yes, visa overstayers are a problem and that needs to be addressed also.
A wall along our southern or any other border is nothing but corporate welfare for the wall builders and contract guards. Otherwise completely useless. If we want to reduce illegal immigration we have to eliminate the economics that induce people to enter this country. The easiest way to accomplish that is to fine the businesses employing these illegals as well as sending the executives to jail. We could start with a through investigation of the Trump owned or labeled casinos and hotels. Eliminate the incentives and we eliminate the attraction.
Building a wall is a waste of time, effort and money.
In Belgium they now started to check at some borders but of course they are now checking the "good" people as the terrorist are gone.
Please read the word "some" as it they haven't checked at the small border crossings that are not considered the Interstate but small one lane streets.
Even without a wall over there, check points would make a difference but the PC is already speaking out that the Europeans and Americans (see Hillary comment) shouldn't judge all Muslims instead of talking about the victims of extreme radical Islam/Muslims!
If all Muslims feel that they are mentioned by the words "extreme Islamist/Muslims" that is on them but not on the people using these words.
